Dermatologists say that there are severe reactions to the
chemical henna. Dr. Sharmeen Mustafa, Dermatologist, Sindh Government Hospital,
Korangi No. 5, told SAMAA Digital that in our country, happiness is expressed
through henna (henna), so women express it by wearing henna on all happy
festivals, not just Eid. But now we have different chemicals used in henna for
brightening the color, which makes many women allergic.
He said 3-4 women visit his clinic who are committed
allergic reaction to henna and dying
their hair. Real henna or henna is never allergic. Lasonia is a compound
that makes henna. There are very few people who have pure henna, we just want
the color to come out quickly, so they use chemicals and when they are applied
on the skin, it causes contact. Dermatitis occurs, it is not an infection but
it is a type of eczema, or it is called irritant dermatitis, irritant because
when these compounds are applied to human skin it causes you these reactions. ۔
Dr. Sharmeen said that most of the henna uses toluene and
diamenzobenzene, which makes the henna color faster. Black henna contains PPD
compounds which are mostly mixed in hair dyes and mostly in hair. Dyes have
swine reactions, we have people with OPDs with many complications.
He said that in case of swine reaction, blisters on the
hands also form in most of the cases, due to which the patients get severe
pain, like the condition of burnt patients, most of the cases are those which
are malls, They use henna in the markets. Generally, when buying henna, one
should see where the henna is coming from.
Dr. Sharmeen suggested
to save from such henna which is being sold in common market. You should
use purchase mehandi from those who prepared henna organically.
